New Moon Today

Posted in

Today the New Moon is in Gemini, there is 0.2% of lunar illumination, and 15 days until Full Moon.

During New Moon I always like to focus on a change; it can be small or something major, just depends on what is going on in my life at the time. I told a friend of mine once, to utilize the New Moon for new beginnings.

He decided to try for a career change during New Moon -- wanted something new in the line of tech jobs and although I didn't encourage or discourage he ask for something so broad, I did suggest he read this blog entry I posted: Job Spell--My Lesson Learned

Altar Has Been Moved

Posted in

Last night I re-did my Altar...moved it into the living room and created a nice sacred space. I really need to get back into meditating and spellwork....

Life has been so busy. First Belatane and the Fairie Festival, then Mother's Day, now Memorial Day weekend, coming up, Father's Day and our Disney vacation. It's obvious I need to take time and relax/meditate.

Mental Health

I just completed research on xanax detox so I can write an article for work. The research got me thinking about alternative ways to deal with anxiety.

I'm curious if anyone readers have tried self medicating or use natural remedies to ease anxiety? I would love to hear about personal experience...I'm not just curious, this info will help me with my article ;)

Traveling to Disney Again Soon!

Posted in

Our next Disney vacation is in June! I cannot wait! We are driving down again. We're taking our Honda Pilot.

I wanted to rent/by and RV - seriously, I did! LOL, but CJ squashed that idea because that meant we'd have to make sure we know of a decent place for rv repair to depend on if, Gods forbid, something would happen.

By the way, I still have the blog 'Disney Vacation Trip Reports' to document this trip and still finishing up the trip report from our October trip.
In addition to the new blog, I also created a Facebook Fan Page and a Twitter account as well!

So now, when we're on vacation I will be posting real time updates to the new blog which will in turn post to the Facebook Fan Page and Twitter! Once we're back, I'll have wonderful documentation of our trip and will be able to write up a nice trip report without missing anything!

I hope you'll subscribe to the new blog and become a fan/follower!

Weekend Plans

My BFF Cherie has one child, a son, Damon. He is 16 already--I met her when she was pregnant with him. He is going to the Jr. Prom on Saturday so "we" are going to send him off :) Awwwww!!!!

So, I take Olivia to Jeff's today after school. Hopefully he'll be home on time, he works for a printing company, (they do all sorts of stuff, including catalog printing) -- he is the IT Director and sometimes his job keeps him late. Then Saturday Cherie and I have a girl's night planned after we send Damon to the Jr. Prom. Sunday is a day to relax...it IS Mother's Day afterall :)

We Go Back to Disney Soon

We have our next Disney vacation set for June 19-25 and I cannot wait!! Going to be a lot of walking, hope I'm in good enough shape to endure it all. Maybe I should have looked into that personal trainer program I saw...LOL

Our first stop will be the Magic Kingdom--it HAS to be the very first place visited when we arrive the the very last place we visit before we leave. Disney really is a magickal place :)

Spring Cleaning

Posted in

Well, it is certainly past 'spring cleaning' time, according to the calendar anyway, but the weather makes it feel like it's still winter. Our heat kicked on yesterday! I am hoping for warmer temps this weekend so I can finally get this pace scrubbed down and re-organized.

For me, disinfecting furniture, keeping rooms free from mold and allergens, etc.... is very important. So important that I did a bit of research on how to really do these things properly. I found a site that offered extremely useful carpet cleaning tips and not only tips but they offer services as well.

In fact, one aspect that drew me in to read and learn more about this company and their cleaning habits was that they service use the most environmentally responsible chemicals available, while still providing a positive cleaning experience. This is a huge deal for many people these days.  By the way, the site is: http://www.thesteamteam.com

So, pretty impressive,  gave me lots to think about. Might be time to have the carpets here cleaned as well!
